Refund an athlete

Updated on 7 November 2026

You decide on every refund. The Refund button is on the panel of an athlete, on the panel of a team, on a shop order and on a ticket order. It refunds the buyer from your Stripe account, or it records a refund you have already made yourself.

Before you confirm

The window shows the frozen breakdown of the order, with the spot, the Flex option, the items, the tickets, the delivery, the discount and the service fees. It shows the amount returned to the buyer and reminds you that service fees are not refunded. For a registration paid in several shares, each share appears separately.

Refunding from your Stripe account

When the sale went through your Stripe account, the platform passes your request on to Stripe. The buyer gets back, on the payment method used, the price paid after discount for the spot, the Flex option, the items, the tickets and the delivery. They usually receive it within five to ten days, depending on their bank.

The amount is taken from the available balance of your Stripe account. If that balance is not enough, the refund is refused and nothing is debited. A refund never takes your balance negative. You can wait for new sales, or refund the athlete by bank transfer and then record it as described below.

Service fees are not returned to the buyer and our commission remains earned.

A refund already made outside the platform

If you gave the money back in cash, by bank transfer or by another method, choose in the same window the option for a refund already made. Nothing is debited from your Stripe account. The platform only records the refund.

This is also the way for a sale that did not go through your Stripe account, collected under a mandate for example, for a free order and for a registration added by hand.

Cancelling or deleting a paid registration

When you cancel or delete a paid registration, the same window offers to refund it, a choice ticked by default, with the same rules as the Refund button. You can also cancel it without a refund.

A refund made from Stripe

If you refund directly from your Stripe dashboard, the platform detects it on its own. A full refund cancels the registration, frees the spot and notifies the buyer. A partial refund is only recorded, and the registration remains valid.

What happens next

The order is archived. It leaves your lists, frees the spot, the stock or the tickets, and stays in your accounting export. A box ticked by default notifies the buyer by email.

Refunds provided for by the terms

With the Flex option, an accepted cancellation is refunded from your Stripe account according to the scale, without the price of the option or the service fees. If a split payment expires before every share is paid, each paid share is returned in full, service fees included, and our commission is returned to you automatically. The same goes for a payment collected twice. If your balance is not enough, you receive an email that states the amount to return by your own means. The details are in the organizer terms.
