The event t-shirt sells at the very moment the athlete pays for a place.
Merch is the second revenue line of a competition, and the easiest one to open since the audience is already there. The shop lives on your event page, with your products, your photos and your real stock, and a product can even be offered during registration so it is paid alongside the entry. Sales land in your Stripe account, exactly like registrations do.

Black in M can be sold out while black in L is still available, and a low stock threshold warns you before it happens.
A struck price shows during the window you open, then full price comes back on its own.
Pickup carries your place and opening times, shipping carries its flat fee per order.
A set of products sold at a fixed price, or a discount that kicks in past a number of items in the order.
Printed name, number, anything else. You add your questions to the product and the answers stay frozen on the order.
Each order moves from pending to ready then collected, or shipped then delivered depending on the method chosen.

You declare your sizes and your colors on the product, the platform builds one variant per combination, and each variant carries its own stock. A free text size guide and a measurements chart show under the size picker.
The sold out variant is no longer purchasable and the others stay on sale. A variant can also be left with no stock limit when production keeps up.
Every order has its preparation status, and each line is ticked off as it is handed over, which allows a partial pickup when one size is still missing.
In your Stripe account, like registrations. Merch, tickets and entries run through the same payment engine, so there is only one account to open.
