Contact the organizer

The organizer is your contact for anything you cannot do yourself. From My registrations, open your ticket and use the Contact organizer button. State your request clearly: your reference number, the division involved, and what you need (cancel, change, replace an athlete).

What the organizer can do

From their space, the organizer keeps control over the registrations for their competition. They can:

• cancel your registration,
• move you to another division (subject to available seats),
• update the details of an athlete on the team.

These actions depend on the organizer and their policy. Reach out early: a full division or a competition that is close can limit what changes are possible.

Cancel with the Flex option

If the organizer offers the Flex cancellation option, you take it out when you register. It cannot be added after purchase. To cancel, open your registration in My registrations. The Flex cancellation option section shows the estimated refund as of today and the Cancel my registration button, or Request cancellation when the organizer requires supporting evidence.

• The scale is counted from the first day of the competition. 100 % of the price of your spot at 31 days or more, 50 % from 30 to 7 days, nothing under 7 days.
• The option price and the service fees are never refunded.
• Without required evidence, the cancellation is accepted as soon as you confirm it, and it is final.
• With required evidence, for example a medical certificate as an image or PDF, the organizer replies within fifteen days. They can only refuse if the document is missing or does not match what they announced.
• The organizer pays you the amount no later than thirty days after acceptance, by bank transfer or by another method agreed between you.
• For a team, only the person who registered the team submits the request, and the cancellation applies to the whole team.

Refunds

Without the Flex option, the organizer's refund policy applies. They publish it before purchase, on the competition page or in their rules. Send them your request with the Contact organizer button.

In every case, it is the organizer who refunds, by bank transfer or from their own payment dashboard. Throwdown never carries out a refund. Service fees are not refunded, except in two cases where everything is returned to you, fees included. A split payment that expires before all shares are paid, and a withdrawal on a shop item. If the organizer has not paid you anything after the thirty-day period, write to us and we will chase them up.

Right of withdrawal

Registering for a competition is a leisure service provided on a set date. As such, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply, in line with the terms and conditions. The same goes for a spectator ticket. Outside the Flex option, no cancellation is therefore guaranteed by right after payment.

A shop item is the exception. If the seller is a professional, you have fourteen days to withdraw without giving a reason, from the day you have the item in hand. Send your decision to the organizer, then send back or bring back the item at your own expense, in its original condition. They refund you everything you paid for the item, service fees included. This right does not apply to a personalized item, printed with your name or your bib number for example.

Changing the name on a registration

Your registration carries the name of each athlete. As long as the organizer keeps editing open, the person who registered the team changes each member's name, email and phone number with the Edit my registration button, up to any deadline shown below the button. A teammate linked to the registration through their own account only edits their own line. Once editing is closed, send the request via the Contact organizer button. Spectator tickets, on the other hand, carry no name. Each ticket has its own QR code, checked at the entrance.
