Book the chip timing pack

The chip timing pack is Throwdown's professional timing system for hybrid races. Athletes wear a velcro transponder, one sensor reads them at the finish, and the time flows straight into the Leaderboard. No manual entry, a premium race experience. Here is how to book it and what to expect on event day.
What the pack includes
The setup is intentionally light:
- Velcro transponders worn by athletes during the race.
- A single professional high-precision battery-powered sensor, placed at the finish line.
No per-station sensor, no cabling at every event. One reading point at the finish is enough.
How times flow in automatically
The sensor records each athlete's finish time. We calculate the net time, meaning the finish time minus the start of the athlete's wave, and display it automatically in the Leaderboard tab. You have nothing to type by hand: crossings turn directly into ranked times.
Price and conditions
- From 900 € per weekend with Throwdown ticketing.
- From 1,600 € per weekend standalone (without Throwdown ticketing).
- Base price for 40 velcro transponders; beyond that (high simultaneous turnout), on quote.
- VAT not applicable (art. 293 B French tax code).
- Available for hybrid competitions only.

The weekend logistics
- Friday evening: you pick up the equipment.
- Event day: simple setup, one sensor at the finish, velcro transponders handed out to athletes.
- Monday: you return the equipment.
Once the sensor is in place and the waves start, times land in the Leaderboard as athletes cross.
